Clairin d’Haïti

This rhum is something else. Agricole as the French tradition would have it, it is still distilled in age old pot stills concentrating stronger flavors, that leaves it wanting of nothing, compared to its column distilled counterparts. The amazing thing about it is the texture. The mere density of it has your taste buds overwhelmed for some, but mostly overjoyed with pure grassiness and raw sugar. Sipping it is like, sucking the juices directly off of the cane stick with a hint of spices. Probably due to the natural yeast used for fermentation. In any case, closing your eyes from the nosing on will take you far, where the mountains are green and the soil fertile… A go to option for amateurs of rich and complex aromas !
